Jeffrey Singer Named CEO of 4R Systems, Inc.
Retail Software and Supply Chain Executive
Takes the Helm at Retail Analytics Innovator

WAYNE, PA, Feb. 1, 2001 — 4R Systems, Inc., a leading provider of analytical software that enables retailers and manufacturers of short lifecycle products to accurately match supply with demand, announced today the appointment of Jeffrey H. Singer, 37, as Chief Executive Officer, effective immediately. Mr. Singer will guide the growth of the company and lead commercialization of 4R Systems' proprietary software used to improve forecasting and supply planning.
Singer was previously Chief Operating Officer at Acorn Systems, Inc., a profit optimization software and services company. At Acorn, he implemented retail analytics programs to help customers determine the most favorable cost structures and built the company's sales force while growing the company four-fold. Prior to joining Acorn, Mr. Singer held a number of senior positions at database giant SAP America, Inc., including General Manager of its Apparel Footwear Group, Supply Chain Consultant and Assistant to the CEO. As General Manager, he was responsible for the rapid growth of SAP's apparel/footwear industry segment to more than $50 million in less than three years.

Singer earned his M.B.A. from the Harvard Business School at Harvard
University in 1995 and his B.S. in international finance from Brigham Young University.
